Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer with at least 15 years of experience in the field and 10 years of experience in SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex engineering projects and a strong understanding of engineering analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously from start to finish, including design, prototyping, testing, and production.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components.
- Conduct engineering analysis to ensure product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, other engineering disciplines and manufacturing to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements, continuously improving engineering processes.
- Some hands-on assembly of new prototypes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of 3D CAD design experience, ideally in SolidWorks.
- 15+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
- Strong understanding of engineering analysis principles including experience in structural and/or thermal FEA.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Act as technical lead for a team of mechanical engineers and designers to mentor them on technical and professional development objectives.
- Able to work full time in our offices in Spokane, WA. No remote work.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using ANSYS for thermal and structural FEA and CFD
- Knowledge of multiple manufacturing processes such as the design of machined parts, weldments, sheet metal parts, surfacing, design for injection molding, composites, automation, prototyping and mass production.
- Hands-on prototype assembly and test.
- Understanding of GD&T is a plus.
- Able to handle small amounts of travel to customer sites to assist in all aspects of the project development and delivery.
Job Type: Full-Time, in-office (non-remote)
Schedule: 9 hours days, Monday - Friday, with every other Friday off.
Work a hybrid “9/80 schedule”: 9-hour day schedule on a two 2-week cycle. Monday - Thursday are 9-hour days with Friday being an 8-hour day. Then the following Friday is an “off Friday” for an additional 26 non-working days per year.
Benefits:

- Paid time off: 3 weeks PTO accrued per year plus 7 paid holidays.

- 9/80 work schedule.

Pay: $75,000 - $125,000. Depends on Experience (DOE).
